TITLE: Senior Director of Software Development

DUTIES: Direct the work of the Telemetry Tools and Development team, to contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of Magellan Engineering Platform, including the design, build and maintenance of GIS and Telecommunications Engineering Applications. Collaborate with business, product and engineering leaders to solve technical issues and ensure progression of projects. Responsible for development and delivery of Charter proprietary applications that provide essential features, such as OSP network design and documentation, ISP, FTTx Automation, and to diagnose network outages and provide necessary support during storm damages. Participate in organizational strategic planning, budget allocation and decision-making. Manage all technical managers and oversee the execution of technology projects, ensuring that deadlines are met. Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies. Effectively communicate technology strategies and trade-offs both up to senior and executive management and down to development teams. Provide technical leadership by mentoring less experienced team members and proactively suggesting improvements. Manage roadmaps for multiple Software Products. Actively participate in Scrum meetings, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives. Provide strategic leadership, effective solutions, managing technical resources aligning technology-related decisions to ensure project deadlines are met.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Computing, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology or related field. 7 years of experience: working in CATV domain and overseeing development and delivery of an engineering platform utilizing HFC Design; Geospatial Development experience working with, deploying, configuring, and managing GIS Enterprise applications. 5 years of experience: developing and delivering enterprise applications using NodeJS & MongoDB; in any document-based design and development database. 3 years of experience performing legacy applications migration from C# to NodeJS. 2 years of experience: in project management role assessing and mitigating risks, managing roadmaps, budgeting and ensuring deadlines are met; utilizing scaled agile framework or agile based development methodology. *Travel required once every two months to Charter's Charlotte, NC office, Denver, CO office, or other IT facilities as needed. **A hybrid (in office and remote work) arrangement is available.

SALARY: $156,125 - $250,900 per year

HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)
