TITLE: Principal Data Architect
DUTIES: Design, architect, implement, and optimize data feeds to support video reporting. Ensure that designs enable code to be sound and robust for future work. Collaborate with, support, and train team members. Validate ETL and ensure data accuracy. Manage code deployments. Enforce and help establish, coordinate, and implement Charter's new video products and features. Triage data-related issues. Design and execute new data architectures. Contribute to data oversight across legacy, hybrid, and IP video products. Assist on the integration of Charter's unique data library into its product, collecting the data in specific databases and creating metrics with visualizations that enable visibility. Query data using SQL database design. Create quality and engagement metrics using knowledge of Video, including STB, IP STBs, IP apps, News Apps, and websites containing video. Deploy, troubleshoot, and create job templates utilizing AWS, Athena, EMR, and Lambda. Utilize programming languages including HQL, Scala and Python. Utilize data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT and reporting/analytic tools.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related; 5 years of experience: querying data using SQL database design; and creating quality and engagement metrics using knowledge of Video, including STB, IP STBs, IP apps, News Apps, and websites containing video; 2 years of experience: deploying, troubleshooting, and creating job templates utilizing AWS, Athena, EMR, and Lambda; utilizing programming languages including HQL, Scala and Python; and utilizing data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT and reporting/analytic tools. *A hybrid (in office and remote work) arrangement is available.
SALARY: $144,206- $196,400 per year
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40+ hours/week)

The pay for this position has a salary range of $144,206.00 to $196,400.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
